March 27, 2008: Claudia Sanders Dinner House Linked To Kentucky Outbreak

March 28th, 2008

According to a North Central District Health Department news release, 88 people report that they have been sickened in an outbreak of illnesses linked to the Easter buffet at Claudia Sanders Dinner House in Shelbyville, Kentucky.

Health officials have temporarily closed the well known restaurant; and the Kentucky State Epidemiology Lab will release a preliminary report later today. At this point, health officials suspect that ham, served at the Easter buffet, may be the source of the outbreak. To report a suspected illness, please call the health department at (502) 633-1243.
